Canyon Ferry Lake is adjacent to Canyon Ferry Crossing and Kim’s Marina.
Canyon Ferry Lake lies just 15 miles from Helena, Montana. The lake is
27 miles long and up to five miles wide.
Rainbow trout, brown trout, largemouth bass, and walleye are abundant in
Canyon Ferry Lake. Every year, large fish are caught in Canyon Ferry
Lake, including during the annual Canyon Ferry Walleye Tournament.
During the winter, ice fishing for yellow perch is popular. In addition
to excellent fishing, the lake provides year-round recreation
opportunities including sailing, windsurfing, sunbathing, water-skiing,
swimming, ice sailing, and snow-mobiling.
Access to Canyon Ferry Lake is excellent. Numerous designated access
sites exist around the lake. Virtually all services can be found on or
near the lake. Canyon Ferry Crossing residents enjoy all the amenities
of Montana lake property living.
