Surrounded by more than one million acres of national forest and public land, Canyon Ferry Crossing is a year-round recreational community.

Canyon Ferry Lake and the surrounding rivers and creeks are renowned for great fishing. There’s boating, sailing, swimming, water-skiing, windsurfing and canoeing, or exploring the three major rivers which form the lake. The surrounding public lands provide opportunities for backcountry excursions, hiking, biking, hunting and seasonal camping.

In winter, there's downhill and cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, snowmobiling, ice fishing and ice sailing.
